| On a bend in the centre of Great Yeldham is a small green with a very ancient oak stump on it (supposed to be the remains of a Domesday oak). Turn off the main road here, marked to Clare and Belchamp St Paul. Follow Tilbury Road round to the left, leaving Londis Stores on your right. Past some modern houses, go up a short hill and then down a little dip. The drive to Spencers is on your left – if you miss it there is another one about a quarter of a mile further on. If you are in a heavy vehicle please use the entrance just past Brook Farm. |
